Harrington {Family}

Cory contacted me about a family photo session for his & Holly's wedding anniversary!! I'm glad I had the opportunity to hang out with this crew for an evening. These kiddos are really close and I got lots of natural emotion unprompted! I especially love the shots of the kiddos individually with mom and dad. Little miss Charlie was excited for her photos so we made sure to get some sweet shots of just her :) Loved all the fall colors with their session so we had a little leaf-throwing fun and got to explore around an old box car at the end. I think the kids would've stayed there exploring into the evening, but dinner out was calling their name! Hope you guys had a great night together!

McDonald {Family}

Mary Lee is a local artist and wanted something a little different for her family photo session! We headed to the Urban pop up park in downtown wichita. Love all the brick and all the colors of the chalkboard wall! Dylan wanted to direct a few shots and ended up with a family dab shot! Got to do some fun shots of her boys with their instruments (this is an artistic/musical family y'all). We ended the evening by this amazing mosaic that Mary helped work on!

Fall Family Sessions are in full swing but I want to sneak in a quick blog post of this crew, the Penners!
I've had the opportunity to meet this family through church and their boys are too sweet, each with their own unique personality and style! We took advantage of the fall colors at Bethel College (aren't they amazing)?

Henry {Babies}

So excited that I was able to do a newborn session with little Henry at 5 days old! He slept really well for the beginning of his session, but he did NOT want to do that cute little frog pose! So, we wrapped him up tight and he was a happy baby after that! Big brother Hudson was very into watching and helping and I was happy to have a feeding break to go outside and run around with him! Love photographing these handsome little boys!

Caedyn {Class of 2017}

Caedyn is a senior in El Dorado and came up to Newton for a session! We started downtown, making sure to incorporate some cool volleyball and basketball poses! If you can't tell from the photos, she is TALL - over 6ft! I had to bring my step-stool (I'm only 5'4").
Caedyn was a sweet heart and I LOVED her photos in the garden at Bethel. I had a lot of fun going through her session! There were just so many good ones I just couldn't narrow it down much. Also, her skin is amazing...I didn't have to re-touch - except for some bruises on her legs...from being a sports star no doubt ;)

Lauren - Class of 2017

Lauren contacted me about her session and you could just tell she was excited! She has such positive energy and a fantastic, contagious smile!
She really is a ray of sunshine. She told me that she LOVES a vintage style so I brought along my old bike and a few props to play around with. Does't she look amazing with all those wild sunflowers?!. This girl does not know just how gorgeous she is!
Her session was a ton of fun and a ton of laughs...you may not be able to tell from all the serious poses! It was hard for her to keep a straight face!

I will be seeing Lauren again in the fall and I am totally looking forward to it!

Haley {Class of 2017}

I was SO excited to be able to do a senior session for my niece, and I just can't believe she is old enough for this!
We started downtown...I love the red doors, and I really loved that mauve color building with Haley's attire and skin tone! We headed out to Haley's farm to do some photos of her with her horse, Mouse, who apparently is known to have an attitude (Haley says that is why it's her horse! lol) but Mouse did great! We ended the session with just some pretty photos around the farm! I especially love the ones on the long gravel drive (as requested by mom!). We will also be adding golf photos soon so stay tuned!

I hope you have a FANTASTIC senior year, H. Can't wait to see what the future has in store for you!

Nicole {Class of 2017}

Had a lot of fun during both of Nicole's senior sessions!
We started out getting some cute shots in downtown Newton, including shots of her tattoo that Nicole really wanted! Bethel College always provides scenic locations for portraits and I LOVE the ones of her by the hay bales, next to the sunflowers and in the garden.
For her second session, we focused on Nicole's activities! We were lucky to be able to get into the Newton gym and get some Volleyball shots. She also throws javelin and has received LOTS of medals, which her mom spent HOURS putting together ribbons, just for this shoot....GO MOM!!
We ended in a little park with prom dress photos. LOVE Nicole on the staircase with all the ivy!!

Had a lot of fun with you Nicole...you are a free spirit!! Have a great Senior year!

Jacey {Senior - Class of 2017}

It was looking like storms were coming, but that gave us beautiful muted lighting for Jacey's senior session. Love love love the dress and floppy hat that we started out the session with! Jacey also wanted to incorporate some tennis in her photos, as well as this little pup!
I was most excited about going out to Jacey's to get some photos with her horses! We spent some time trying to get these sweeties to put their ears forward (not something I would've known to do lol). It all turned out beautiful, which is fitting for beautiful Jacey.

Adventures with Makhi {Kids}

I have been photographing this little guy since he turned one! Every year, just before his birthday, we return to the same park to take milestone photos! This time, mom wanted to incorporate an Olympic theme so we got to have an adventure...climbing at the park and playing in the fountains!
Happy Birthday soon Makhi! I love watching you grow up!

Along with the Ensz maternity session, I was able to see another cousin and her two cutie pies!! It was fun to get some updated shots of their little family (and some cousin shots too)! David and Jordyn are growing like weeds! I've been photographing them since they were so little!

We got this maternity session done just in the knick of time! Elizabeth just so happens to be my cousin so I was so excited to schedule her family sessions Her and her hubby Dathan were expecting their third child, a little girl! Little Cora was born the very next week! I will be posting her newborn session soon. Big brother Drake & Big Sister Emma are super proud of their new baby. Enjoy!! <3

Abby {Class of 2017}

I had a humid evening session a few weeks ago with Abby, a senior at Newton High School. This girl has BEAUTIFUL blue eyes...am I right?
She was a good sport in the heat while we did our session in downtown Newton and Bethel College. We even added a little best friend photo action.

Today marks the first day of a new month AND a new look for Aurora Shae Photo, Design & Events!!
I have been working on a new logo, web design and more this past week and I'm so excited to share!
I wanted a softer more feminine-romantic look while still keeping with a clean, modern and artistic style.
